WELCOME BACK TO the NORWALK EDITION OF
ME DOG CAR
ME DOG CAR
More guests from "Boondockers Welcome" a site that networks people who live and travel on the road with hosts who invite them to stay in their driveways for a couple of nights for free. Especially around New York, there is a real lack of alternatives for parking or even for paying for overnight for people who are traveling this way.
Julieth and Genti are two entrepreneurs who decided to leave their Baltimore home and hit the road promoting Genti's business "Stand Up Advisors". Genti's focus is on helping college kids become financially literate and understand how to manage their money.
Julieth works for AARP as an internet consultant and PR person. So she can take that on the road as well.
They bought a brand new 32 foot Class A motorhome and wow, it sure is snazzy! Beautiful kitchen, large bedroom.........shower. All the comforts. The opposite of my car!
They don't see many young folks out there yet on their travels. It's kind of a sea of gray! But interestingly, all of my Boondocker's Welcome guests have been under 40! So there is a movement out there to not be tied to the traditional mortgage and working lifestyles.
They were only here for one night, but they were lovely guests. I really enjoy seeing people living their dream! They've been out for four months and hope to be out for another year...... who knows, maybe they'll find it's a permanent lifestyle!
Nice little story Laura! That's a heck of a rig..., too big for my desires but nonetheless a huge step up from car-camping! It's great that you do this for travelers..., such a nice way to expand upon what you experienced camping yourself out west this past winter. Thanks again, Phil
